Well I got the Halo Reach 360 from my cousin cause he owed me money about a week ago and its worked fine until this weekend.

First it froze on Saturday night when I was playing Ilomilo

Then it froze on Sunday morning again when I was playing Ilomilo....now at that point I thought it might just be Ilomilo that was making it freeze but then it froze a couple of hours ago (Sunday night) when I was loading up the Raskulls trial game.  It froze right on the black screen right before a game launches.

Does anyone have any ideas cause I am not liking how it is freezing...and i'm fairly certain that its not due to excessive heat because when it froze on Sunday morning it had barely been on for more then 15-20 minutes.

man, sucks, i have no idea what it could be, my xbox had the RROD but it dodnt sound like this, however a year later, right when Assassins creed 2 came out, my xbox wouldn't read it nor any newer games, it would only read the older games, weird huh? took it to Multives gaming to get it fixed, they told me my laser needed "calibrating" it costed me $40 but worked fine afterwards.

I had that same problem with my old fat 360 but me and my bro ripped it apart and fixed it in 2ish hours and it worked just fine after.

And i'm fairly certain my Halo Reach isn't getting RROD because it can't (its one of the new slim one's)

Anyone have or heard of slim 360's having trouble at all?

Is it freezing only on games installed on the hard drive or does it happen with games being read off the disc drive as well?

So far it hasn't frozen on any of my retail games that I own....but I should also note that all my retail games that I play are installed on my harddrive.

Its only frozen when i was playing the arcade game Ilomilo (twice) and when I was loading up the trial to the arcade game Raskulls.

You sure it was a new xbox 360 and not one which already had a problem?

If it was new, then I have no idea, I have no experience with the slim 360. But remember that it can happen that you co-incidentally put two games that freeze on your system. Assassins Creed 2 on the PS3 has a bug, due to which the moment I reach a ship in forli, it freezes the PS3, I tried this 5 times and it froze 5 times. MAG also froze sometimes after an update, but that's been patched now.

If you haven't already I would clear the system cache.  If that doesn't do anything, I would try reinstalling the two games you are having trouble with.

its entirely possible that its not a system problem.  ilomilo is known to have a lot of freezing issues. 

Yeah I'd look at the game causing all the mischief, the only problem with Slim that I know of is the disk tray problem. Freezing might only be restricted to that game as it seems to be common factor lol

Ok thanks guys I'll reinstall Ilomilo and just delete raskulls off my harddrive.
