The game has probably reached the point where at minimum it'd need to sell 1.5M to break even. However with their other properties not doing so well they'd probably want a minimum of 5M sales. Given the likelihood of Microsoft EDD slapping a few million down on the table for co-promotional support and the extra sales it does make sense we'll see it on the Xbox 360.

For what it's worth Nomura may care about it going multiplatform but outside of Japan I don't think he'd care quite as much and chances are the release will be delayed for regionalisation. So chances are we'll see a quick and dirty port like FFXIII which means the game will be released on a few DVDs and may have lower resolution etc on the Xbox 360, this hardly matters in the scheme of things as it never seemed to back in the last generation when such differences were actually meaningful.

Hahaha, i dont think the port was that bad, just fanboys running riot. but either way its not a significant release my friend. the 360 already got FF13, its resonable to assume a lot of those users dont even know this game exists and i doubt they would care either way, most of the FF fans buy the main installments, but not the spin offs, etc. based on the sales of the FF spin offs, i doubt there is much signifance in a release like this.

imho, i'm almost certain it will go to the 360 because of their financial woes at the moment, and the 360 version of FF13 sold about 1.5 mil copies i think, which is too siginificant to ignore. and there has been some hints anyway that this is already in progress, like their CEOs comments, and the job listing for 360 staff to work on the game.

I'm not sure man, i would like just a hint that FF15 is in production at the moment. but the FNC is huge! so i'm inclined to think theres nothing for that at the moment, and it seems to me that it will be a production team 1 project, and they're so busy at the moment so it seems unlikely to me.

but i'm hopeful its in development with the other production team! and it reasonable to assume Versus is coming soon because its been over a year since FF13 was released in Japan, but this is Sqaure, so its also possible its not coming until 2012.

I doubt Nomura will allow FF Versus to go multi-plat. Last time they even hinted in that direction there was  a huge backlash going for the throat of their credibility.

Yes, but those are western Action RPG's, geared to the western audience. Fintal Fantasy XIII sold well on the 360, but I wouldn't put Versus on the 360 if I was Nomura. Versus was promised after SE went back on their word as the game that would harness the PS3's power.

Screw the fanboys, screw the PS3s 'power' neither are really that important anyway.

If you make a game that harnesses a consoles sole power, it can make a game a grander experience. The 360 needs a game that does this. The PS3 is already showing people what can be done with GOW 3, UC3, Infamous 2 and new team ICO project. The reason for this logic is to see what they can pull off the hardwares capabilities for a grand single player experience. Look at the grand difference in old Playstation games like Twisted Metal which get to make their first appearance on the PS3 again? This is going to be the biggest and most expansive Twisted Metal ever (Have you seen the videos?). I want to actually say that since this game is an action adventure title that it should at least do the same if only on promise alone. If someone makes an impressive and exclusive 360 IP  that harnesses its power (whenever that happenns) then let it be done. That would make the 360 even more appealing to me. Versus will sell extremely well on the PS3 alone. If they market it properly it will sell.

Your right I exaggerated and I apologize.  You remember when XIII was announced multiplat for Japan?  Rage.  What will happen when Versus gets announced multiplat? More rage.  Who says lightning never strikes twice? ^.^

Ahhh the old E3>TGS>*random conference*>E3 then repeat.  I just remembered something.  Wasn't Versus supposed to be announced multi like 2 years ago?  Just saying.  Guess we'll have to wait till E3....or maybe TGS....or maybe..... you know what nevermind.
