Looking at the success of God of War 3, it's almost guaranteed that Santa Monica is out making another one. 

What do you guys think it will be about? Will it be spin off? What do you think it'll be titled? Who will Kratos fight? etc.

really do you think they should make a new one so soon? i wanna see what new the studio could do.

I dont think Santa monica is making another GOW. The way the story ended on the 3rd installment pretty much confirm's this.Though i do wish that Ninja theory gave the heavenly sword franchise to Santa monica so they can make a Heavenly sword 2 already. It would be good.  :)

When a studio makes a game that's as successful as this. It's unlikely that they risk it all on a new IP. Developers typically play it safe.

Kratos is dead and prequels / sidequests won't be as nearly as interesting as his epic quest for revenge against the gods. The best SM could to is try a new franchise or sequel to another series and then maybe come back to Kratos world with new ideas, characters, places etc.

Kratos will be angry at something. He will find some way to lose all the powers aquired in the previous game. You will fight and beat a bunch of noobs by button mashing the controller and having Kratos flail around like a girl. You will fight giant mythical beings/creatures that can only be taken down by a series of QTE's. There will be lots of gorgeous scenery along the way along with sex minigames.

^That was a quote from Santa Monica themselves. I assume that means that they will make more God of War games.

I assume that this is the end for Kratos, but its possible they could create a new series of God of War games with Demos as the central character. he was established in Ghost of Sparta.

i also think its possible that Santa Monica could use different mythology, like say Beowolf, and simply use the God of War IP to make that title a similar type of game.

oh i know this well but their are plenty of developers that arent afraid to explore new ips and besides what would stop them from making another if the new ip failed. naughty dog has a habit of making new ips every third iteration.
