So, I´m planning on exploring XBLA more...I´ve had a 360 for a long time but have never really payed much attention to XBLA games, but now I plan to..

I´ve downloaded Limbo and SuperMeatBoy and really like them...what are some other games I´d maybe, or probably, enjoy?..any games similar to the two above?

What are the very best platformers and shmups on XBLA?

Shadow Complex is fantastic

Braid is a fun artsy game, very puzzle heavy though so if that's not your thing then maybe look elsewhere. Also if you've never played Banjo Kazooie I'd highly reccomend that, great platformer similar to Mario 64. Shadow complex is a great game, though more of a sidescrolling shooter. I hear Splosion man is pretty fun, though I've only played the demo. Liked what I saw though.

In terms of shmups, Geometry Wars 2 is king. Has six different games within it, all are very fun in their own way.

I had Banjo for my N64 back in 1998, it was right up there with SM64 imo.

I guess I´ll be trying Splosion Man and Shadow Complex first.

I heard ilomilo and raskulls are good games.  I downloaded the demos for both so I will get back to you if they are any good.

Oh and try "A Kingdom for Keflings" and "A World of Keflings"  Both games are most excellent.

For platformers Splosion Man is superb, and for shmups Geometry Wars 2 is great.  Other games I've enjoyed were Castle Crashers, Braid, and Shadow Complex.

Ilomilo is a very good puzzle game...I would recommend getting it.

Platformers:

Braid, Limbo, Splosion Man, Super Meat Boy

SHMUPS:

Geometry Wars 2, Ikaruga, Space invaders infinity gene, Omega Five (try before you buy...some people dont like it) We have Raidant Silvergun and New Contra to look forward to soon.

Castle Crashers is a great time and so is Lara Croft and the gaurdian of light. Braid is a waste of money unless you like solving puzzles, short games and little action.
