Take 2, developer of GTA and Bioshock says Wii has priority.

Because of losses made in last year Take 2 had to regroup their staff. Ass such they are shifting some resources to Nintendo consoles and handhelds. Reggie fils-aime has tried to get GTA on Wii but said, eventually the decision is made by Take 2, well; this sure looks like it.

Prior to this announcement T2 had only two games in development for Wii, Manhun 2 (By rockstar) And the Bigs (Sports game) But with this announcement they will widen the variety of games on wii.

Fingers crossed for GTA on WII, and boy does this dream come close to becoming truth...

They've been in a bit of trouble probably should be developing more games for the most popular platforms.

It's easier, cheaper and quicker to develop for the Wii, DS and PSP and they are likely to continue this trend predominately until there is a much bigger user base for the 360 and PS3.

Lip service.

I consider what they say lip service until I see actual effort and dedication. As it stands right now, fuck them.. They deserve thier loses for making a poor business decision by focusing on niche HD consoles and the dying PSP and mostly ignoring the more popular Wii, and especially the DS.

I want the whole shebang, GTA IV stories, the Rockstar Table Tennis game, new IP that is developed by thier top tier developers(especially Rockstar's top tier development team). To me, you suck, Take Two. Unless proven otherwise. And in a big way.

Take two is a great developer. They ignored Nintendo the last gen because... well... why not? They were doing just fine as  company focusing on the PS2 with a little bit of xbox. And now that the Wii is doing what it's doing, it makes sense to develop for it.

Nothing in there is exactly "fuck them" territory. Either way, it's great news for Nintendo.
