I defeated him at level 52, with Aqua.

My strategy was no biggie.

Edit - Sorry, didn't read the no tips part. Although, you already know all of my tips

I guess Aqua's Cartwheel sucked instead of Ven's Dodge Roll.

Haven't tried it with Ven yet, so I don't know how much of a difference it would have made.

Though Dodge Roll does have more invincibility frames than Cartwheel, all of his attacks can be dodged well enough with Cartwheel.

The problem was trying to figure out the right moments in which to attack him and the moments to back away, once he went invisible. That was what extended the fight for me. The first part of the fight was actually pretty smooth for me, once I figured out how to make him use the flaming X attack.

Oh, there are tons of chances to attack him... well not really. Though as soon as he starts Fire Surge, after Flaming X, after his Combo, Tornado, his lightsaber thrust. Being ballsy can make the battle shorter... though a ton riskier.

I was level 99 and he still kicked my ass.  This is what you have to do.

Ventus is best for this fight.  His dodge roll is extremely helpful.  You will most likely dodge most of his attacks by just spamming square. Use this deck:

Curaga

Thunder Surge

That was the deck I used to beat him.  Also make sure you get Ultima Weapon or Void Gear.  This is how to get to level 99:

It took me around 3-5 hours to get from 40-99.  Also read the video description.

Edit:  I found this video that should be extremely helpful:

Kinda Pointless to get to level 99 to fight him.

His attack power is close to unlimited (or high enough to the point where no amount of defense possible is enough for him not to leave you at 1 HP, or OHKO you if you don't have Once More or Second Chance).

His Defense power is 40, meaning that if you fight him at Critical Mode difficulty, even level 99 strength and magic is kinda pointless, since even halved, the damage you do is still minute.

Now, if you're doing it in any other difficulty, then level 99 dos have it's advantages, as you don't suffer damage output penalties, but only then is it a real advantage.

This is a fight that can't be overpowered just by strength alone. Patience, lots of button mashing, timing and overall skill in camera use are the essentials.

Sorry I skipped the no tips part accidentally.

But still, use Ven and spam TS and Dodge Roll.  I found out that Thunder Roll was the reason why I was dying so much in level 99.  But after a couple tries with Dodge Roll on I pwned his ass in like a minute or two.  Your gonna get the No Name Keyblade after you beat him(IF you beat him.)  Lightsaber Keyblade FTW!!  At least try to reach level 60.  What difficulty are you playing on?

And yes I freaking hate him.  It got so bad that I almost threw my PSP against a wall.

Even in level 99 he takes your HP down to 1 with like 2 or 3 slashes.  And your right, that fight can't be overpowered with strength, but it certainly does help and a lot.  Reaching 99 makes the battle a whole lot quicker and you won't find yourself recovering after every hit.  But defeating him in lower levels makes you feel like a total badass ^.^

How much Strength and Magic do you have at Level 99?

I didn't even bother leveling that much, because even it Critical Mode, both Vanitas Lingering Spirit and the Arena Match 13, were you get Ultima Weapon were quite easy to overcome at level 50.

You can pretty much Roll your way out of harm's way almost everytime. There's too much invincibility frames in the dodges for those fights. Then again, they're just right for the MF fight, so it's kinda balanced.

Until MF, the hardest boss I ever fought in a KH game was Unknown in KH:FM Expert Mode. MF could beat Unknown at any given day and still ask for more >_<.

It was.  I have the No Name Keyblade equipped right now.  Better than Ultima Weapon imo.  And I have a level 70 Aqua.  She takes longer to grind with than with Terra and Ven becaue I use different grinding spot with her.  Since I use my Final Episode file(because of that Keyblade Aqua gets) I can't go grind to that same exact spot in Radiant Garden.  I use another one in Deep Space.  ^.^
