8 million. Who was that "analyst" firm that predicted they would sell 7.6 million units by the end of NEXT YEAR? LOL

Damn 8 million? So much for me snagging it for $100 or less this year.
It's just that simple.
Damn, Seece is in top form in this thread.
To reiterate what has been said many times before, Sold to consumers means sold to people (see: humans), not so much retailers.
Insane sales. I believe that is 133,333 kinects a day, or 933,333 a week. Eh, Mac calculator.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

is that will mean 360>Wii in NPD Dec?
This thing has sold RIDICULOUSLY. I'm completely FLOORED by this performance. Seriously, this should be a bigger deal than people are making of it. I bet developers and publishers are going nuts right now if they didn't plan for this.
From 3 million sales expectations to 8 million reality. Whether you like the thing or not, that deserves all of the accolades it gets and more.
@psrock
That WP7 crack was really, really low and uncalled for in this thread in particular.

Neogaf is saying they sold 6 million to consumers.
Just want to play good games
Update: A Microsoft spokesperson clarified to IGN the 8 million unit figure is shipped to retailers, not sold to customers. It is unclear at this time if Microsoft has reached its goal of 5 million Kinects sold by the end of the Holiday 2010.

Did you make an account to post this?
Time for hype
Fail.
They were talking about sold to consumers all along and now they talk about sold to retailers.
Epic fail.

eh, CES is a big audience, they were just trying to toot their own horn a little louder for the broader audience.
