No matter if shipped or sold to customers, I think we can all agree that the launch of Kinect is one of the success stories of 2010. Very impressive.

At the moment I'm not yet planning to get it myself as the only two games that would interest me are the upcoming Child of Eden and Project Draco, but I will closely follow future Kinect games announcements.

@ psrock, they said 50 mill plus, that probably is a shipped figure. And no way will 360 beat wii in NPD Dec.

I'm not lying... everytime Microsoft sold to [their] consumer... retailers... not me and you.

We can discuss if the real sold is near the Microsoft figure or not... but their number are shipped.

@seece, this also means either that we are majorly undertracking Kinect in Europe.

I just watched back, he says "as many of you know we predicted we would sell as many as 5 million Kinects in the first 60 days, we beat that target, selling OVER 8 million"


He also said "this was the biggest holiday and year for Xbox ever"

The last biggest holiday was 2008 6.5 mill shipped.

So shipments are above 51 mill, likely 52/54 million

MS 360 HW is always shipped. They specficically stated (in their words) sold to consumer for Kinect though. Give it up.

I think when any of the big 3 say "sold", it's to retailers rather than consumers. Either way it's massive.

So far, they've only EVER quoted "X.XX sold to consumer"

It's strange why they're not saying shipped, but so far they havn't.
