Ubisoft has released a new teaser trailer for the HD revamp of Beyond Good & Evil, which you can watch below.

The title is due for release on XBLA and PSN later this year. We're yet to get an exact date from Ubi - but as soon as we know, you'll know.

The publisher announced the game in September last year, promising 1080p visuals, improved character models and textures, plus a remastered soundtrack.

The HD update comes in preparation for the BGAE's long-MIA sequel. Despite having disappeared since its 2008 announcement, Ubisoft promises the title is still in development.

Aaargh, this is horrible. I have an enormous backlog and now I need to replay a game I finished around three times already.

But seriously, BG&E is one of my favorite games ever. I still have hopes for the sequel

Hopelly if this sells well it will make ubisoft make that sequel come faster.

I recommend you just buy the original on GOG.com for $10 ($7 if there's a sale on).
