What I always liked about CS is that you only have 1 life per round, so you always have to be extra careful if you don't want to sit there and watch for the next 2-5minutes and that there always is the possibility to win a round for your team without killing all the opposing players.

I'm still looking for a PS3 shooter with a similar system/mode (afaik Gears and Shadow Run are similar - maybe without the optional objective), but what killed CS for me was cheaters and with the recent hacks maybe PS3s online games will soon be cheater infested aswell.

You should try SOCOM. It's exactly like that. One life a round. Very tactical. You have to stay with your time or you will die. The players are very hardcore.

Socom Confrontation is already on the PS3. Don't listen to the reviews, it's awesome...now.

SOCOM 4 is releasing later this year (although I'm skeptical of this game).

Try looking up Youtube videos of Socom confrontation.
