As a PS360 owner, I have also opted to go 360 for the same reason someone else had. I simply could not get through ME1. Not for technical reasons, I dont know what it was. I bought it, first game I got for 360. Played it and it took too long to ramp up story wise. Probably cause I got sidetracked doing optional shit.

Sold my 360, bought another in 2010. This time I rented it, but I could keep it til I wanted to take it back. This time I got farther than the first, but ended up taking it back. Then I saw it was coming to PS3 with all DLC and said ok, but Ill miss out.

So if this comic gives me all the backstory I really need (main shit, not side convos and stuff that isnt major) and lets me make the key decisions that would have carried over on the 360 version, I dont feel I lost. I get to play ME2 pretty much as intended without having to go through the first. The only thing I agree on is its cheaper to buy both with all the DLC on 360. For that reason, I will wait until it drops to like 40 bucks. I have a huge backlog right now and LBP2 will only make it worse. But eventually I will buy it and hopefully enjoy it as much as most people in this thread have.

Any PS360 owners that not have played Mass Effect, should opt to buy BOTH games on 360 and download all the extra content, to get the full Mass Effect experience, just my two cents.

And for anyone wondering, i myself do own both the 360 and the PS3.

Why is the PS3 version always being talked down?

People can play what they want, you shouldn't be forced to buy another console just to play one game, not everybody got a lot of money either and we are all gamers,just because people haven't played a game you have doen't make you any better than them.

Shhh PC version doesn't count. Ask any proper X360 fanboy and he will tell you PC versions don't count and ME1 is still exclusive.

About the discussion PS3 vs PC version...

Maybe there something new in PS3 version (like the new UE engine) that makes better than PC version... not graphics wyse but the gameplay, sound, menus, etc... all the stuff that make a game better overall then another.

So before the release of the game on PS3 is impossible say if the article opinion is right or wrong.

A REAL Fanboy will tell you that the PS3 doesn't count and that Call of Duty Black Ops is still exclusive! (General MLD actually stated this).

no one ever mentioned mass effect 1 until when me2 was announced for ps3. now apparantly me2 isnt a good purchase because of me1?

its a seperate game with all dlc and no disc swapping although its likely to have an install. me2 and little big planet 2 to is a great start to 20111

ive played 360 me2 and tried ps3 demo,  i can tell you its a really solid port and you wont be dissapointed.
