I didn't forget at all, the original hack Geohot had did NOTHING to allow piracy or run unsigned code other than it allowed you to boot a version of Linux with full access to all the SPU's and GPU. This was perfect for the homebrew community and he specifically stated he was doing no more work to try and get any encrypted keys from the system. Sony then blundered in and decided to atagonize Geohot by removing the other OS functionality (something they already had decided wasn't a benefit to sales anymore as they removed it from the slims) and use the excuse it was all HIS fault.
I think you need to read the real history behind what happened and not the rewritten version the angelic Sony would have you believe happened. They used Geohot to drop a feature they didn't want on their system anymore, I would have respected them far more for being honest and just saying we don't want to support Other OS on older models as we feel it's a feature that isn't used enough.










Simple things like being able to play PSX games from any region and actually being able to play Tales of Graces F and Tales of Vesperia in English are system selling features!
