Forums - Microsoft - There is now over 50 Million Xbox 360 and 5 million Kinect Worldwide

A lot of people out there including myself didn't think 360 or 3D motion sensor could ever be this successful, but looks like Microsoft have proved alot of us wrong so congrats i guess.

over 25% there for my kinect 20 million prediction. I was right! :)))

10% adoption rate this early is pretty fantastic actually.

I'm new and confused.  Is the 50 million units actual Xbox 360's being used, or total purchased, because I have multiple friends that have gone threw 3-4 Xbox 360 life cycles.  Maybe you could clear this up for me.

50 million 360's bought from stores. if your friend actually did buy 3 360's then it would count for 3 sales here. of course these numbers are not perfectly accurate but they are within 10 percent i believe

It's really wild how DEAD ON MS was about how many Kinect units would sell this holiday.  It's as if toastboy works for them or something.  ;D

10% attach rate, pretty high already.

Tease.

I hadn't actually thought about this until you said it. To launch a new accessory about 5 years into a system's life, getting a >10% attach rate alone would be good. To do this this fast, though, is phenominal!

Well done MS... keep up the great work!

Everything you ever wanted to know about Kinect is right HERE

Yeah most of my friends will pick up a Kinect when the core games start hitting. I'm waiting for Steel Battalian before I buy one at this rate, but when you factor in possible purchasers the attach rate is gonna soar over the next year.

It's just that simple.
