What? hes a game designer his game should speak for him sure it would be nice if he got more praise but his games should and do do the talking(heh do do). I doubt any designer wants themselves to speak louder than their work. Also xenogears does not have the greatest story ever told.....TALES OF SYMPHONIA or xenogears.

Khuutra, leave him alone!

Xenogears, in my opinion, has the greatest story and characters to have ever appear in a video game (and I played all of the usual "contenders"), and an amazing story for pretty much every media form, however, I don't know if it's the best overall because I didn't read books like Ulyssys or stuff like that.

I take it that you want summa this.

Khuutra, why don't you actually play Xenogears before you start any of this.

Good use of sarcasm.

Best JRPG story ever told = Dragon Quest V.  Fact.

Has nowhere near the amount of depth Xenogears has. Fact.

if it was sarcasm i would have ell oh elled.  Symphonia and Xenosaga stories are better than xenogears in my opinion. They also had better characters which is why i got into the stories more.

Oh please, DQV has legitimate emotional depth and complexity, which is something Takahashi wouldn't know if it bit him on the ass.  Sometimes the best stories really are the simplest... you don't need to (badly) wax philosophical to be "deep", indeed it usually just betrays how shallow you actually are.

good reply a deeper story is not always a better one.

Like I told jarrod, speak for yourself.
