I already beat all 3 stories on critical.  The final bosses and some Vanitas battles were really the only pains in the ass.  Make sure do use guard a lot.  Try to obtain restore Guard/Barrier.  It will be extremely helpful.  This is how you get it:

Curaga plus Guard

Esuna plus Guard

Please remember to have the commands in max level just to be sure.

Lmao, then the best advice I can give you is to grind.  

I beat both storylines, the problem is that I'm just underleveled because I don't want to face enemies that could potentially kill me easily.

You shouldn't be afraid of dying.  Especially on Critical. Face some weaker enemies then and obtain stronger commands.  Once you level up enough, go show them who's boss!!  And how come you haven't beaten Aqua's story yet?  Dammit I want to go back and play this game now....must...resist....FACK!  *goes to play BBS*


That's how I beat the final boss for Terra.

loved the game but it made no sense to me on a handheld.



What I want from a game.

Gameplay > Story > Content > Graphics

Visual Style > Graphics

Smooth Camera, Intuitive Controls

Friction! When everything feels right!

Great review and I agree with almost all points.

It's my second favourite KH, after KH2FM. Playing BBS on Critical Mode and reaching the bonus chapters with the extra bosses, is probably the hardest challenge in any KH game, much more than Sephiroth KH1 Expert mode or Marluxia Critical Mode KH2FM.

If I have some spare time, I will, but I only see myself doing it with Aqua. 

Renewal Barrier is probably a must for a LV1 CM. Especially if you try it with the least amount of abilities possible.

Agreed.  And LVL1 CM is probably best with Aqua because of renewal barrier.  Also her cartwheel is way better for dodging.  I'll probably do that when I'm done with my 2nd Aqua CM playthrough.

I never played KH2FM since it was never released here in NA.  But I bet that if I had played it, it would have been the best KH game I had played.  Hopefully we get KH1FM and KH2FM instead of the regular ones in a KH Collection.  Make it happen SE please!

Actually, Ven's Dodge Roll is the best dodging maneuver in the game since it has the largest amount of immunity frames, though Aqua's Cartwheel isn't anything to frown at.

Renewal Barrier is awesome though, but it's pretty useless for the extra bosses, in which case you'll have to rely almost exclusively on Thunder Surge Seeker Mines combos.
