Toss up between Demon's Souls and Valkyria Chronicles, imo (regardless of the options you gave).
Both changed up how you play that sort of game and both were tons of fun to play.
Valkyria Chronicles. I have to give the developers major props for making pretty much every battle in this game unique. Each battle had you under a different situation and setting, each with their own mid-battle twist like Selvaria coming out of nowhere or a sandstorm occuring while you're trying to capture a base. It's something VCII lacked.
