A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I've never seen anything like this.

It might have happened from some other company before...but I've never seen a commercial for one game's conference, especially from Nintendo.

....So much uncertainty.

Yea I thought Nintendo would be pushing this one big.  You don't go out and get this guy to make a game for you and not make it something big.  Let's see if that will equate to good sales and more than just one game in the series.  But this is Nintendo so they know what they are doing.
