A sane prediction, as others have said it's extremly hard to predict where the 3DS will be with so many factors.

360-XBox is probably not a good comparison since XBox died so quickly because MS was so happy to get out from under NVidia's thumb that they stop producing them asap. I would look to DS-GBA or GB-GBA as more likely models.
