I hope you bought The Adventure ReBirth to send the right message. It rocked. |
Was gifted it last year for Secret Santa, in point of fact. Excellent return to form.

I hope so. That's my favorite one so far, though they're all bloody fantastic either way. I've yet to dislike a Castlevania game. At least out of those that I have played myself.

How technical is your game?

Castlevania was one of the games I am surprised not to see announced yet for the 3DS. If it's only half as good as the DS games I'm very happy.

Seems like we won't see Kojima's name in the next Castlevania. Today I received a considerable sized rumor from the same source that brought me the Zone of Enders 3 and Metal Gear Solid 5 tips, that artists and 3D modelers have already begun to work on the next Castlevania game and that it’s for 3DS. Furthermore, talk has gone around the studio how to cleverly make use of the 3DS’ 3D cameras. That part, if true, makes more sense than using the handheld’s motion controls on their own, because Koji revealed to me in the past that though he finds “motion gaming” interesting, it’s not best suited for longterm gaming sessions or for the more hardcore-type of game that requires extreme precission. http://paulgalenetwork.com/home/2010/12/21/koji-igarashi-working-on-new-castlevania-for-3ds/ |

Its probably because high res sprites are just really expensive to produce for a game compared to 3d models, hence why we haven't seen too many 2d sprite based HD retail games this gen. Even blazblue, which is the exception, had a small roster of characters compared to the likes of Street Fighter. I think the 3DS will see less games using sprites compared to the DS.
But I completely agree that 2d sprites >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3d models
