Why would Epic be scared of Skyrim, Uncharted and Mass Effect?

I have no idea either, they are all different genres, the only one that even closely comes to competition is Uncharted.. And that's on the other platform.. Some people do say extremely weird things.

Its not about fear, but if they can iscolate Gears 3 in a time that is not around other big releases, then that is preferable. Many gamers plan to buy alot of those games releasing in November (myself included) and if Gears 3 were to come out amidst those games, (even though I am a huge Gears fan) the game would have to wait a month or two.

The question of whether the games are in the same genre as gears is only partially relevant. Most people have a gaming budget and somethings gotta give.

Sales will be way more frontloaded and overall higher if they avoid the rest of the shuffle of games that already have concrete release dates.

i really hope this does come out in september, because then itll be like halo: reach and i can get it for my birthday

Well fuck it looks like it's a rental just like Gears two because to many good games come during this time of year. Unfortunantly, my bigger priorities are Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3 and of course numero uno RAGE.

Ha me too my birthday is september 11th so I looked at REACH as a birthday gift, yet this year it will be Rage, but it is always nice to have a great game come out around your birthday!

Really can't wait. September can't come soon enough.

With Gears 3 coming in September rather than November.  I believe MS is leaving November open for the 10th anniversary re-release of Halo:CE 360.

Didn't Kudo say something about StarWars kinect and Forza 4 releasing near Christmas?
