Forums - General - Microsoft invest- HD-DVD development

Came across this story at Teamxbox. Maybe not that big of a deal but for some reason I think it might end up being a bigger deal than most would think. They also tie this project to the 360 witch would make the HD-Dvd name a little more popular. hmmm

My problem with all these interactivity features of HD-DVD and BluRay disc is that I want to watch the damn movie not play some stupid minigames.
BluRay definition 1.0 was a godsend: 2 out of three BR-discs would just start playing when putting them into the PS3. Awesome. I really hope that doesn't change with 1.1.

I couldn't agree more.   Usually, the only extras I care for are the deleted scenes, but I'll usually just get the Director's Cut or w/e so that they're included in the movie.

Although, I must admit that the "Into the Maelstrom" feature on Pirates of the Carribbean 3 was pretty interesting.
