For all you psp owners...

I always buy on Umd 47 34.31%

I mostly buy on Umd 24 17.52%

I buy psn games as much as Umd games 7 5.11%

I mostly buy psn games 17 12.41%

I always buy psn games 12 8.76%

I download my psp games for free 30 21.90%

Total:137

The attatch rate for the psp is horrible- currently 2.85

I know this is mainly due to piracy but the other day I was thinking how many psp owners actually buy games from the psn store. I haven't brought a UMD in years I much perfer playing games that are downloaded on to my memory stick.

So how do you guys buy your psp games?

You and I think alike.  I have a memory stick (16gb) with over 25 games on it.  It's just too convenient and the games perform better.  One thing that's hurting Sony:  If I buy a game for the PSP, I can install it on five different PSPs.  Any game I buy, my friends can theoretically get for free.  Sort of a legal way to pirate, huh?

I always buy UMD. THe only thing that isn't bought UMD is a PSN Classic and that's it.

I buy UMD, though I've been thinking of switching to PSN, only if the PSP 2 plays PSP 1 games via PSN only.  Or the Zeus phone (If it's real or not) plays PSP games and not minis.  I'm actually in quite the predicament as I wanna grab Valkyria Chronicles 2, Lunar and Ghost of Sparta too...  On another note the God Of War PSP bundle is going on sale up here in Canada at Futureshop (Or Best Buy can't remember which).

I still mostly buy on UMD, but some games are download only now (Cladun for example), some are hard to find on UMD (Gottlieb Pinball) plus PSN gives me the possibility to get NA only games earlier and cheaper which I'd otherwise have to import (Ys Seven).

It's a very convenient service and works even for people like me who don't have or don't want to use WLAN.

use to buy UMD but switched to PSN few months ago, cause i believe PSP2 will be compatible with PSN game but not UMD, that's why I'm clearing all my UMD disk now or they will be garbage in future..

I most of my PSP games on UMD, with very few digital download. I think once I get the PSP2 I will probably buy a lot more DD.

Mostly UMD, but also some PSN. Have never pirated a PSP game.

I buy every game available on UMD on UMD.  I've started gradually re-buying the ones I own on PSN as they drop under $9.99 (usualy waiting for a sale on top of that!), assuming all PSN games will be playable on PSP2, but all new games I buy on UMD.

Edit:

Remember when SCEA tried to "test" the DD waters in NA by making Patapon 2 download only?  I was so pissed that even if you bought the game in stores, box and all, all you got was a download voucher to get the game on PSN.

Well a month or so ago I saw the game in-stores on UMD.  Apparently they re-released it a year later after it totally bombed.  -_-

We must think alike, one of my friends and I actually share a psn account on which we buy psp games. It's like they're always half price :D
