@Mr. Bubbles, don't feel bad, I bought the Ghostface costume from Scream regardless of thinking I would never buy Avatar gear.

@Neo, Has your wife tried watching Firefly? There are only like 10 episodes because Fox is stupid and canceled it mid-season. Meanwhile the show has grown and grown and sold boat loads of DVDs.

About the league, last year there was an 80 point gap, this year its a 160. I understand that the new rules offer more possibilities but the chances of anyone earning 160 points while the leaders stand still is next to nothing. A good 1,000 points in gamerscore each week used to nearly earn you a league win for that week. Now nothing less than 1,500 will do and even at that it offers nothing more than a fraction of league winnings. I've been gaming my butt off, more so than ever this year and it's basically all I can do to hold on. Example, last year was by far considered my best and I scored about 35,000 gamerscore for the year. This year I've already earned 25,000 and the year's only half up.

I'm not complaining, mind you, everyone seems happy with it. I'm not willing to only earn a few high profile TA achievements a week just to score points there and I'm too focused on new games to rack up plats. I'm not unhappy with it, just noting how it's changed the game and how my play style doesn't lend towards winning much. To be honest I'm lucky to be in the top 5 with the way things are now.

I know what you mean.  I've already decided on a change for next year to put people like yourself more in the hunt.

About the point gap...  Last year you would have had to get 27 platinums to close that 80 pt gap.  This year it is 23 to close a 160 pt gap.  Really it is how you look at things.

Last year we saw the top leader change only once all season.  This year it has already changed hands six times.

Also, this year eNamrah has been exceptional at tournies and platinuming games.  With the kind of year he has had, he totally deserves where he is at today.  I am really surprised he hasn't totally run away with things.  As much as things may look out of whack, it would have been worse under last year's rules.

@Neo, the funny thing about eNamrah is that he has been playing less this year than any year I've known him.

But it has been much more focused play on tournies and platinums.

This is a big week for me. NCAA Football and Ms. Splosion Man, I can hardly wait!

Does anybody in the league wanna co-op Ms. Splosion Man? I'm sure it would be a lot better and more fun than playing with randoms.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

If any of you guys in the league fancy boosting the online achievements in Castle Crashers let me know.

@JPL Firefly was fucking awesome and would throughly recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen it.

I don't believe this is true if you're talking about gamerscore. I had about 26,000 gs in all of 2010. I already have 22,000 this year.

Actually, you only had 13,585 GS to this point last year...  22 K already this year... A year-over-year increase of 162%!

Truely, an incredible year.  But, Berstuck and Ronster are still in the hunt as well...  I expect this summer to be competitive, then we will see how crazy things get in fall with tournies!  I expect there will be lots this year because of the massive amount of games.  Gears, Forza, Rage, Skyrim, CoD, BF3, Dark Souls, Driver, Dead Island, Dead Rising, Darkness, Batman, Lord of the Rings, Aliens, Assassins Creed, Halo, Saints Row, MGS HD Collection, RE IV Remake, X-men Destiny, etc.

Lots of sequels, but lots of quality IPs...

F.E.A.R. 3 (deservedly) made it to tournament status!
