Nah, I love his silent hero role.  Honestly considering his quiet nature I'm constantly surprised by how interesting he is as a character.  The choices he makes and the people around him really keep the story interesting.

It really shows that a story can be driven far visually without the aid of tedious dialogue at every turn.
Valve are top 3 PC game developers in my book, no doubt about it!
