but if you require that all of a publications reviews are consistent with their later GotY-type articles that's the same thing since a review is written by a single person.  Approved by editorial staf sure but in the end it is the opinion of that one reviewer. 


If it's not the same person, it would be a really good idea to nod to the review, so that it doesn't look like hypocracy. If the replies on this thread have to do their damage control for them, they didn't do it right.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Wow just wow.  Guess that is really the only thing to say, but it just confuses me.  With so many broken games, big budget busters, and cheap cash-ins made this year, they decide to say Kirby is the worst game of the year because it is so god damn adorable.  Ugh this gives me a headache.
