Hehe, you mean we'd get both a Demon's Souls 2 and Project Dark pretty much in the same year (2012)?

i just recently got the game but really won't have time to play it for months to come. What exactly are the benefits of having online? Would it be bad if I didn't play this game before the online server is cut? I know ppl can leave messages for others and that you can invade another person's game or wtv but ppl seem to be making a huge deal about the online mode.

You can play demon souls entirely without the online component and its stil a great game. However with the online part of it, it adds another dimention to the game....in my opinion it makes the experience better.  Without the online you will have no help messages(i think), no coop, and no people invading yout world(sounds like a good thing but its a reli cool part of the game especially if you the one doing the invading :P ), and you cant duel other players. That being said the game is stil fully woth playing as a soley offline game :)

thanks for the response. I'll keep your input in mind. I don't want to the start the game if I won't be able to finish it, and for the next yr or so, I rly won't have the time to devote to the game. But all the diff. online things sound so interesting.

Also, is the difficulty offputting? Because I've noticed I do not have the patience I once had as a kid playing video games. I shake my fist at those damn NES games.

basically, ANY enemy in the game will kill you in a heartbeat if you're not careful, and if you die you will have to start from the beginning of the level.

Not recommended if you're easily frustrated, but, if you're concentrated, careful, like fighting dirty and have good instinct for cheap spots, then you should be fine for maybe 50% of the time, tehehe.

God I hope so, Demon's Souls was one of the best games ive played in years, it was my first platinum.  It really is an incredible game, simply brilliant, and the online is fantastic.  I love how the games plays with both invasion and unknown allies, its incredible...........:)

i still don't have this one but will surely buy it fast now that i know that servers will go down next year...
