Atlus confirmed it will extend its online server operations for Demon's Souls through October 2011 in North America, two years after its initial release. The company previously announced it would keep the servers online at least through March 2011.

"We will support the online servers for Demon's Souls as long as we possibly can, and we'll be as transparent about the entire process as possible, hence us constantly updating folks as to what to expect," Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at Atlus said in a statement.

Atlus also announced it's shifting Demon's Souls' World Tendency to Pure White starting on Dec. 20, 2010 through early next year

I get so sad just from the thought that they'll shut the online off so soon.

It has such an original and good online mode. The 2nd best game of this generation needs to have longer online support.

Spread the word. Buy each of your friends a copy of Demon's Souls as a Christmas present. Tell everybody how great this game is.
