So Kinect is a home platform now? 8th console generation start confirmed then?

Wii Fit sold very close to it and it wasn't released by X-mas or heavily bundled with the Wii on its first 6 weeks. I think Wii Fit wins. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if Kinect is a home platform, so is Wii Fit.

 

Ummm yes, because Wii Fit is designed to play several other games besides it's own crappy software.  A whole segment of games don't exist without Kinect hardware...without the platform, none of the Kinect games are playable.

Maybe look what you wrote, think about it, erase some of the more stupid/silly parts and then repost ok?  Other than to compare for fastest sale of console hardware, Wii Fit has absolutely NOTHING in common with Kinect.

Week 1?  This thread is just 7 hours old.  And that's irrelavent to my post anyway.  We're talking current tense of the verb denial.   Many Kinect apologists are claiming that right now, currently, people are saying Kinect sales are bad and are in denial.

Actually, they are both platform extending peripherals.  Their method of input being different aside, they are the same thing categorically. 

 

Seems the only people in denial here are those that think Kinect is something more than a peripheral to an established console platform.

yada yada yada you cant compare kinect device needed either to move multiple needed either but kinect is a clear winner right now even if every user only used 1 wand (i have 4)

Why exactly do you think I'm mad?

This is what I'm saying.  Kinect apologists are reaching for anything they can to make things look good even when no one is saying it's bad.  It's like you want to debate for debates sake.

I agree... in the fact that periphreials are almost always going to sell worse.   Afterall your possible userbase is MUCH smaller.

do you consider the sega 32x a peripheral?  or the sega cd?  These are often considered consoles as they had their own software lineup, but they also utilized the sega genesis hardware...  That seems to be the big difference here (to me anyway).  You don't walk into a store and see a wii fit section of games like you do with kinect (or move for that matter).  

Personally I would view them as separate platforms.
