Good luck, I hope all of the doctors are competant and can use their skills to help your grandmother. Furthermore I hope everyone involved has the perseverance to achieve the desired results if its physically possible.

Makes me sad to hear this dude, good luck :/ it's been already said alot but you my thoughts are with you and your family. I hope everything will work out fine.

UPDATE:

When I first posted the original event, my grandmother had pretty much give up on live which took a major strain on my mother.  But since we saw her that weekend, she had taken a turn for the better, clinging on to hope.  Before then, she was emotionless and had almost everything done for her such as being fed.  Now, both mom and grandmother are back home since Jan. 7th.  More specifically, my grandmother is in a swing facility for 30 day for physical therapy.  She is feeding herself, going to the bathroom almost entirely on her own, and she has the desire to get out of bed and into a wheelchair.  But most importantly, she is happy and wants to live.  Reading all of your comments was very encouraging, and relaying this to my mom and grandmother amongst other positive morale encouragement really helped.  Here are some pics to share.

A positive update.

I just got off the phone with my mother.  My grandmother is still in a swing facility, but she is doing a lot of things on her own.  The only worry we have is her potential lack of protein intake, but that should not be a problem to solve.  We are predicting that she will return home some time next month.  That's just in time for her to meet her first great grandchild.  Looking forward to it.
