That is what I want to hear. That Nintendo is putting effort into this highly missed feature. However, it should have come out with Battalion Wars 2 or at least with SSBB and Mario Kart Wii.

Yes, I agree with the rest of you, it should be mute-able to people who are just stupid. That is a major issue with Xbox Live. However, you can mute individuals there. Or by default make it so you can only talk to friends, not forced this way though...I want the freedom to choose to talk to everyone if I wish. Better be in a parental tools section.

Dude to mute someone on Xbox Live, just highlight there name and on there profile you just click mute and you don't have to hear there nonsense.

But I forgot you have a Wii, so you wouldn't know :P

Dude, I will forgive your comment and note that I didn't word myself very well. If you notice my very next line says "However, you can mute individuals there." What I meant by the line you put in bold was that the "major issue" with xbox live is the ignorant chatter of pre-teens, racists, and people who can't see to express themselves without swearing.

WTF? The wii doesnt have voice chat? Then wants the point of the mii's?

they would probably add a parental control over it..... maybe choose between a password or something before using the headset. Thats what I think they might do

What do Miis have to do with chat? You really don't understand how the Wii works.

I hope when they program SSBB they leave it open for chat. I really want to trash my friends... BAD.

what gamerace said sounds like a possibility

Oh great, now I get to be called a "jewniggerfaggot" by Yoshi :(

On a more serious note, does anyone here really the see the Nintendo games as online games? When I think of Smash Bros or Mario Kart I think of sitting next to my friends, the social interaction. FPS type games like Medal of Honor will definitely benefit, but I think the Nintendo games will miss out on a lot because that fun of playing side by side with your friends just isn't there.

Unless it's 4 friends vs 8 online racers in Mario Kart Wii :D

voice chat + brawl + online= infinite pleasure

How I long to use racial slurs in expressing my anger to others over the Wii.
