I stole stuff in kindergarden like sea shells and crap like that. I have never stolen since because it doesn't feel right.

Somewhere between the ages of 11 and 14, thick in the Pokemon TCG craze, there was the reasonably rich guy living in my block who happened to have a lot of Pokemon cards. We (me, my friend and him) were playing the Dreamcast in his basement one day, when he went upstairs to grab something - me and my friend stuffed as many cards as we could into out pockets and made an excuse to leave. We entered my house and were looking at the cards when my mom came out of nowhere. We quickly shoved the cards into a closet and went outside. When I came home, she said what the heck is this and showed the cards to me. She made my friend and me give the cards back and apologize to him.
Sometimes they give free samples with the papers. One time they had these new chips - I went around the block and nearby blocks grabbing as many as I could with my friends (there were like 5 of us). We managed to grab like 20-25 bags. I also remember stealing these smiley faced pins one morning. I got up like at 6 and then ran around the block and I managed to steal 3-4.
I shopped lifted a few times when I was 13. Some cheap stuff that my friends wanted but we both didn't have the money to afford it. >_< Damn peer pressure.
Well I shop lifted when I was younger. I also pit pocketed family members. Eventually I got caught by my grandma and her and my mom called the police. My mom then brought me to the police station where they put me in a cell for a few hours before letting me out to have a chat with a police officer. The officer noted I was a Christian and really really guilt tripped me and gave me some stern warnings. He scared the shit out of me and I haven't stolen since.

You did assisted even you "didn't do anything".
I would have stopped them, if they were really my friends. Otherwise, stop hangging out with them. Bad influence is bad.
How would you feel if you were the victim?
Never robbed (forcefully took something from someone) but me and my step-brother used to steal all the time. Whenever we saw something cool that we liked, we stole it. I clearly remember the first time I found out. I was in the arcade when this guy came running in, looked around for a minute, and ran out.(*edit*this guy was a store employee and he was chasing my step-brother who hid inside of an arcade machine--I was in the arcade watching people play games.) Later, when my mom picked me up, he showed me his new toys.
I don't know how much later it was, but we wound up going to "Play Land" in the mall and my bro showed me some empty packages. He just smiled. "You STOLE them!!?", I asked. From that point on, we were proffessional toy theives. Later, we started renting video games and switching the labels of the ones we liked with games we didn't like. Nobody ever put two and two together and found out that we were the reason that nobody ever got the games the intended to rent.
Years later, he became a preacher and I became a cop. I don't know about him, but the only thing I stole since then was the dignity of innocent women......and a Nintendo DS (It was an accident! I thought it was my daughter's!).

Unless someone shows them what they're doing is wrong and what the impact of their behaviour is, they definetly will turn into one.
I have no words for this kind of behaviour. Show some f-ing respect to others. (EDIT: I mean this in general, not specifically to you, so no offense. Although i agree, you need some new friends.)
yes when i was like 7, i stole $50 out of my mums purse... why? because i had shitty friends at the time (they told me to do it), yes i got in deep shit by mum, and you dont wanna i know how much trouble i was in lol
