Microsoft was pretty stupid for losing them. I've always thought Bizarre was a very talented team and they could have flourished under Microsoft. They'll probably be broken apart now and chunks of the dev team will just find new studios to work for, it's a shame.


Microsoft has a tendency of being stupid.. They are letting bungie get away, they let bioware get eaten up, they killed off ensemble and all their PC studies, even heavenly sword creator Ninja theory! FASA as well, but that was because shadowrun sucked so much.

Apart from Bioware and Ensemble I disagree, they got 343 to cover bungie. Ensemble went into 2 different companies, maybe just maybe there was infighting and MS was sick of it. You never know. Again MS knows what they are doing and there are more studios then that for example Peter Jacksons Wingnut Interactive still exist.

Bioware was too expensive. Look at how much EA spent to acquire them.

Bizare was their worst decision in terms of letting people go because they made great games that sold well. Geomtry Wars XBLA anyone? PGR4 was heavily bundled but still sold decently. The only thing I could think of why MS would release them was because of Turn 10 - they only had room for one racing studio.

I think 343 Studios will do fine replacing Bungie. Halo Reach is a great game but It's not like Bungie has exactly turned the wheel with the Halo series. 343 can do the same thing with the future Halo games - just add a bit more and polish it as much as you can.
