As of right now the only real first party studios are Rare, Lionhead, turn10, and 343 industries. Gah.

Apart from Bioware and Ensemble I disagree, they got 343 to cover bungie. Ensemble went into 2 different companies, maybe just maybe there was infighting and MS was sick of it. You never know. Again MS knows what they are doing and there are more studios then that for example Peter Jacksons Wingnut Interactive still exist.
