You don't think that's gross saying he wishes he had a really hot sister under the context of a thread about legalizing incest?

In general, fantasies are innocent, no matter what they contain - just as long as they stay fantasies. Also, most likely he wasn't serious.

But to answer your question, no. Obviously there's nothing 'evil' or anything like that in thinking about such a thing, and thus the only reason I might think it gross is the moral constraints created by the society, based on nothing. There's no reason for such a taboo to exist. For example, for a long time, I found gay people hard to understand - I just couldn't, it wasn't the standard set by our society. But even though there are 'opponents' to homosexuality, you will most likely see the analogy here: contraints created by the society for no real moral reason. At least I find some analogy here.

If two people want to have fun, even love, why stop them as long as they're both willing? Morally I find no reason to stop that.


I just find it very wrong to want to have sex with a family member, but it doesn't bother me if its legal. This is one of the things i think should be legal, but people should just choose not to do. 

What goes on in your bedroom is none of my business or the state's business.

Yeah I was going through a phase where I really hated China for a while there. Now I've moved on to hating the Islamic religion (not the people, but the religion itself). 

Anyways what I said was wrong and so is wishing you had a hot sister that you could do it with.

how do you think herds reproduce? some animals chase away all males to keep their harem of females... including their daughters. Incest is a natural  animal process.

For humans... it's a bit different as we have more evolved communications and thought processes... still where does incest stop being incest? your sister? your daughter? your cousin? your 2 times remote cousin? It's all a question of the times we live in and in the recent past, even first cousins were considered ok by our societies standards (royal families being a great example)

In a 40 people village, people would marry someone from their village or at most, the next village over... but these were already sons and daughters of people from the 2 villages... so unless you're from a region where there were mass population movements or from larger cities, chances are in your not so distant familly tree, there was some inbreeding to the second or third degree.

 

on the father daughter though.... that's still creeppy.

As everybody stated, as long as it is between 2 consenting adults is fine.

Not a huge supporter but I am not no one to say a grown up who to sleep with.

Aha, anyways, incest should be legal between consenting adults. And so should adultery (it's illegal in my country).

Sure, good thing animals don't do things like raping or eating each other's babies.

Now, I agree with the whole two consenting adults thing, but even if both are adults, the power dynamic can be pretty screwed when it comes to things like father on daugther. In such cases maybe you should have to get consent from a psychiatrist or something lol.
