According to Shack News the upcoming issue of Game Informer has a cover story about the game.  It's apparently a squad-based FPS (I can hear the groans now). 

Here are some details on the game:

• Will ship on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360
• Set 11 years after the third Tiberium war
• Squad-based action
• Squads are called R.A.I.D. (Rapid Assault and Intercept Deployment)
• Known squad types are infantry, missile infantry, Titan and Orca
• Missions are around the "Mediterranean Red Zone"
• Special powers such as "Orbital Slug" are available

If this came out 8 or 9 years ago (when I was drooling over Red Alert) I may have been interested. Given how the last attempt turned out, the decline in the C&C franchise, and that we have Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six it just seems like this is somewhat pointless. I would say the major question is whether this game is releasing near either of those.

If they give me the ability to drive a flame tank and harvest some tiberium in my own yellow harvester, I'm there.

the old C&C has some mindless fun with the crazy editor, I love when I can edit every units in game and have a little guy go berserk taking down everything. Then came the dispointment of Red Alert, I guess when you have something in ultra balance like starcraft, Red Alert get no attention at all. Then the Recent release of Tiberium Sun was another let down. My god I think its time they start thinking something more logic to the game play than who build the nuke the fastest and you cant counter it( Fucking Vortex Bomb one shot my whole base).

I do enjoy command and conquer games, though. This is good news for 360/PS3 fans, since the franchise has largely been on the PC up until now. Looks like C&C3: TW has broken open the doors.  

As a C&C fan, allow me to officially groan.

I hate when franchises I like are warped into something they were never meant to be. I can always grab it on PC if it's decent, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I would consider it but I already have C&C The First Decade. How much more can this series offer?

i like C+C, provided this doesnt turn out to be another Renegade this should be quite good.

Loved original Command and Conquer. Loved Red Alert. Loved Aftermath. Hated Tiberiun Sun and never played again.
