Nintendo was king of the hill and could do no wrong......until Sony came along and knocked them into second place.....and then Microsoft came and knocked Nintendo into last place......but then Nintendo came back and knocked Sony into last place.....And such is the world of console gaming. So what's going to happen next generation (I know it's too early to talk about, but let's do it anyway.)? Who knows? But what I'd like to know is what YOU would do if you were running the big three to ensure that they win the next generation.
Would you have Nintendo focus on something entirely new to capitalize on the success of the Wii or would you go with a Wii HD? Would you have Sony launch their console first and for a more affordable price? Would you make Microsoft force users of the current 360 have some sort of incentive to stay with the Xbox brand instead of trying something new? What's it gonna take for your favorite console maker to kick the crap out of the competition? We've already seen that power doesn't necessarily win (Original Xbox). We've already seen that low prices don't necessarily win (Gamecube). We've already seen that the most features don't necessarily win (PS3). And, not even the best games guarantee success (Dreamcast).
