Forums - Microsoft - Forza 4 will be the most realistic racer on any console - Microsoft

You see, I personally am not a fan of potential combined Kinect and controller experiences.  So what did Turn 10 just do?  Convinced me of a way it could work and be really, really cool.

Call it hype if you want, but all signs point to this truly being the top racing game this gen.  The only thing that could hold it back (particularly on Metacritic) is if there is not enough to differentiate between Forza Motorsport III and 4 (why did they change from Roman to traditional numbers?).  That's a fear I have too, because FMIII really was well rounded and difficult to top.

No.

GT5 flopped HARD so id imagine forza 4 doesnt have to try that hard to beat it lol

Is this another way for MS to say: Yeah, GT 5 is more realistic than Forza 3? 0.o

I mean, what other racer are they competing for realism? Shift? F1 2010? lmao no.

I think PS fans should be very happy with this statement.

I don't think so. Forza 4 which will be in development for 3 years can't compare to GT5 which was developed 6 years. Also, Kinect support will eat up too much ressources to truly outshine GT5. And I rather have a real steering wheel than a simulated.

However, if they do pull that off, color me impressed.

Normally I'd say that'd be a normal thing to say, if not for many people who still find Forza 3 better then GT5.

Metacritic is one of them. I guess this just shows that dev time seriously doesn't seem to mean jack this gen, for the most part. Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 are some of the highest rated games, and they came out 2(?) years after the originals.

Mass Effect 2 came out 2 years and a half after the original.

Yeah, thats right. Add 0.5 years to the original estimate.

No, I made a mistake. Just two-three months instead of .5 years. So you're spot on, actually.

Good luck.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

It was a pretty big leap from Forza 2 to Forza 3, so it's not really an empty claim.

Of course, they said the same thing before Forza 3 was released.

If they make the game small enough, and avoid the GT5 trap of including old resources to pad the final product then it could be polished enough to back that up.

Somehow, I find it hard to believe Turn 10 would go start over and recreate the Forza 3 car models and tracks though, so it should be interesting to see exactly what they do to make the game substantially better.

It terms of sheer content though, GT5 will still have them beat.

its 2009 again?...

sigh*..oh well cant stop these from happening.
