I know but judging by the games we already know about in 2012 it won't hold the title for long...

Going to suck: M Vs C 3 DMC Reboot Going to be mediocre: Crysis 2 (I'm biased) leatherhat Going to be sweet: Gears Of War 3 Mass Effect 3 Killzone 3 Zelda Resistance The Last Guardian Twisted metal Infamous 2 Uncharted 3 The witcher 2 Arkham City Dead Space 2 Dragon Age 2 Skyrim Bulletstorm Going to be sweet, but not in a "this game is actually good" way and more of a "this game is very fun to dick around in" |
More like this.

Not really, I expect it to follow in SOTC's footsteps of being very overrated. Doesn't mean I think it will be bad or that I don't hope its great of course.
Time for hype
LoZ: Skyward Sword, The Last Guardian, Journey, Elder Scrolls V, Uncharted 3 and Mass Effect 3 are all going to take up a lot of my time next year. Also there's the 3DS games to look forward to, like Animal Crossing. O_o I'll need to find a way to freeze time to play all these games.
they are great, but its looking like 2011 is the year of sequals!!!!
What are some original IP's confirmed releasing this year??

I assume by this year you mean 2011 if not ignore what I am about to say
lets start off with Homefront, Rage, Brink, Bulletstorm, Afterfall Insanity, The Grinder, Subversion, NeverDead, Sorcery, L.A. Noire, I Am Alive, MindJack and that's all I have time for ATM New IPs are generally not hyped as long in advanced.
forgot The last guardian, Journey, Shadow of the damned, codename kingdoms, Gun Loco, The First Templar, child of eden (I guess you could say it's not new as it's the spiritual successor to Rez but whatever)
oh and Hunted: The Demon's Forge, The Outsider, Inversion and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
yea 2011 is going to be insane tho some of these won't make 2011

Well that is always the thing with new IP's....Last year I was not interested in games as RDR and it became one of my favourite games (this year).

that's the thing with new IPs almost everyone says they want more of them but when they come those same people ignore them because they don't know whether they will be any good or whatever. You probably would be interested in many of those games if you could try them out/new more about them.
