Dude. talking to this guy is like speaking to a brick wall.

And since you keep replying to his post that would make you...the crazy bum across the street. See its hard to have intelligent conversation through these threads because you and others would rather reply to an hardcore fanboy who keeps using caps to make a point instead of someone who may have something intelligent to say regarding the thread. Does it make you intelligent when you argue with someone that has no clue of whats going on? No.

Didja get that thing I sentcha?

Not so good for the exclusives.

PS3 UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE (T) 117K
PS3 RATCHET & CLANK FUTURE (T) 66K

Perhaps not enough advertising for Uncharted?  Just my personal experience but I have seen ten or twenty times more advertising for games like CoD4 and Assassin's Creed than I have for Uncharted.  Comparitively the ads for CoD4 for instance makes it look heavy on action while Uncharted doesn't have that same sort of feel, cell phone going off inconveniently versus tanks blowing up may not strike the right audience.

What? humm...[Re-reads OP] Ohh yeah..

Ok, Ps3 doing better then expected in US, still not great though.

The European sales are far better  for the Ps3 so it really isn't  much of a story, still it's nice to know it's a good even 2 horse race for 2nd WW.

It's actually closer to throwing a ball against a brick wall, as even though you always know it's going to come right  back at you some times it bounces differently, it also can be quite fun....for a while.

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

I think people are proclaiming the PS3 as doing better than it actually is, in America its still selling less than the GCN was selling at the same point in its life

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Well to be fair, ps3 users also buying games.
Just some facts:

By the end of november there were about:
Total: 11,8 mln. - 100%
9,1 mln. x360. - 77%.
2,7 mln. ps3. - 23%.

Now CoD4 sales:
Total: 2,014 mln.- 100%
Call of Duty 4 (Xbox 360) -- 1,570,000 - 78%.
Call of Duty 4 (PlayStation 3) -- 444,000 - 22%.

Bow AC sales:
Total: 1,357 mln. - 100%
Assassin's Creed (Xbox 360) -- 980,000 - 72%.
Assassin's Creed (PlayStation 3) -- 377,000 - 28%.

So.. You are WRONG, if you think, that ps3 owners don`t buy games.

It would be around:
117k*3 = 350k.
66k*3 = 200k.
IF there would be 9 mln. ps3 sold in usa.
Mass effect just did 470k. Only 120k more, then Uncharted could theoretically. Practically with 9 mln. Uncharted good sell even more.

So Uncharted sold almost as well as Mass Effect because... its sales would have been 120k lower... if Sony had sold 3 times as many PS3s?

I am now convinced you're a joke character.

Edit: Wow, I didn't even see the other "crazzy" comments when I wrote that.  I'm going to have to agree with FishyJoe: "I can make better sense of Ted Kaczynski's writings."

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Ouch, logic failure alert. That's pretty much how it's always going to work man... cause the more systems you sell, the more diverse your fanbase gets and the more diverse their tastes get. Therefore the amount of games sold starts to tail off. Having double consoles isn't going to mean double sales for one game. You need to compare total amount of software sold for that. PS3 owners just happen to be the real casual owners currently. Probably because if your dropping 400-500 dollars into a system instead you have less money to buy games with. A lot of PS3 owners who arn't rich probably are still recouping from their initial investment. While a lot of people who have 360's bought them longer ago, and therefore have more disposible income, plus its cheaper.

I see you guys are having fun with CrazzyMan :)

I was doing the same a few months ago, but now I just don't bother anymore. Nothing you can tell him will change anything.

Well to be fair... if he stopped to consider reasonable information he'd suffocate.

DO YOU UNDERTSAND, THAT IT WORKED FOR PSONE AND PS2???
Both consoles were INCREASING 2nd-3rd years sales almost TWICE.
Why it won`t work for PS3 then?

oh, yes this is like thermodynamic principles...you've just stated a law that governs the universe:

2008 year end sales (made in January 2008):

44.2 M 27.1 M 20.8 M

I never thought I would see tha day when sony fanboys considered being out sold by nintendo 2:1, as sony are doing well.
