N64 (Mar 98) : 16.14M (YAY ! x2.64 !)
N64 (Mar 99) : 23.08M (x1.43 !! THIS IS MADN... oh, wait...)
N64 (Mar 00) : 29.57M (x1.28 !? OMG, where is the 10 year lifecycle ? and the 100M consoles ??)
N64 (Mar 01) : 32.42M (x1.1... I miss the good ol' 2x multiplier... :( )
As the PS3 is seen as the Sony's N64 (many similarities), A x2 multiplier wouldn't mean anything specially good for them.

And wii is NOT a HD console, why you at all mention it? Wii is in different league, people who want a HD experience DON`T BUY Wii.
And yes, a expect PS3 to sell around 15-20 mln. by the 31th March 2009 with ALL these games coming.
Though, we don`t even know yet what impact in sales did demo of GT5 in Japan. =)

Actually, the Xbox 360 doubled it in 1 sec and tripled it in 2 seconds. After they sold the first one ever, it took a full second to sell the second one. OMG!! Doubled the sales. Then when the third one sold it had immidiately tripled the sales!! OMG!!!

The cool thing here is that you've done the same thing. You claimed that the system that wins the first year always wins. This is no more relevant and no less cherry picking than saying that the system that wins always doubles its year over year sales for the first 2 years. Welcome to hypocrisyland, enjoy your stay.

Trying to disqualify the Wii because it's not HD is equivalent to saying that Wii sales have no influence on PS3/360, and that if Wii didn't exist, PS3 and 360 would have the exact same sales.

Also, quoting a dead language doesn't make you smart. Especially if the Latin phrase isn't in common use today, it just makes you look pretentious. "cum hoc ergo propter hoc" isn't anymore clever than "Correlation does not imply causation."
@CrazzyMan : So you're basically admitting you're wrong, because you said that if PS3 LTD sales double between Mar 08 and Mar 09, then it'll be the new PS2 in terms of sales. You never mentioned anything about the 3rd year.
Obviously if the PS3 doubles it LTD sales every year for the next 4 years, it will probably beat even the Wii...
