Forums - Sony - November NPD actually good for Sony.

November Hardware Sales Dominated By The DS

Nintendo DS - 1.53 million
Nintendo Wii - 981,000
Xbox 360 - 770,000
PlayStation Portable - 567,000
PlayStation 2 - 496,000
PlayStation 3 - 466,000

Sure Sony is in third, but compared to the distant thirds and seconds of the last two gens, Sony's systems are holding their own.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Sir Howard Stringer couldnt be happier! Its the turning point of success.

Worldwide, PS3 is doing even better by comparison.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

You realise that during the first 2/3 years the dominant system/s usually does not dominate as much, wheras later on the dominant system/s pull further away. I agree however that Worldwide Sony is in a much better position.

Looks like IOI completely nailed the Hardware numbers... Good work!

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Not so good for the exclusives.

PS3 UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE (T) 117K
PS3 RATCHET & CLANK FUTURE (T) 66K

Mass Effect did nearly 5 times as much sales as Uncharted and Sony owners consider Mass Effect a dud.

i think people considered it a dud based on vgcharts sales......and wtf on your rounding.....473 compared to 117 is 4.04.......not nearly 5, barely 4

I think according to NPD data mass effect did very well for the 360 given int genre.

Im sure life to date is at 5x by now. It will completely smoke it in the weeks to come
