Forums - Nintendo - Wii Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is an abomination.

EA is the current biggest Wii shovelware publisher, unfortunately most of their crap still sell decently.

I hope they don't make games for Nintendo's next generation consoles.

It's nice to see yet another in a long line of 3rd party Wii games with so much love, dedication and effort put into it...

Looks like a quick and dirty port - if you can even call it a port - using a GC Burnout game engine.

This is an obvious slap in the face to unsuspecting Wii owners, and I saw some outrage in the Amazon.com reviews over it.   However, Ubisoft is just as bad with Hawx and Ghost Recon (but at least they don't overcharge for their garbage)

an insult to gamers??? thats a little much if you just dont like the game dont get it. this is the classic case of a game being rushed out to meet the deadline with a lower dev. why is anyone surprised, didnt anyone think it was suspicious that there was no footage of the Wii version prior to launch?? I didnt even know there was a Wii version until I saw it in stores.

It's not about whether we get the game that makes it an insult. It's that EA thinks so little of gamers who bought the Wii that makes it an insult. Duh.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I can't believe EA would actually release something like this

That's exactly my point, it's better not to come up with something than knowing what you put out is crap. Even the PS2 Hot Pursuit 2 is a better caliber than this, I'd rather get that last gen game as port (the proper version) than this new crap.

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

@lordtheknight  I really dont think EA thinks Wii gamers are "dumb" or is trying to trick them. We didnt even know about a Wii version until just very recently. Anyone who looks at the back of the box (I did) could pretty much tell this was a quick and dirty port with a budget of probably 10 dollars. EA is just being corporate and trying to get money. IF anyone with a Wii was "tricked" into getting this game, then they probably need more education.

@TripleMMM  i couldnt agree more, but this is EA we are talking about, thats how they roll. Its not like we can do anything about it. The Wii version will fail but i doubt it will deter them.

on a side note where were all you guys when Transformers War for Cybertron debacle was about. People actually preordered it thinking it was going to be the same game as the HDs instead the poor bastards got some on rail shooter called Cybertron Adventures. Even though Acti. had said it would be the same game. That was something to be insulted by.

"I really dont think EA thinks Wii gamers are "dumb" or is trying to trick them."

Neither did I, as that was not what I wrote.

Well it was either going to be a "This Wii version of a HD games sucks" or a "Where is our Wii version of this HD game" thread.  EA cannot win either way.

EA can't on that, for some reason, but Activision always manages to. Guitar Hero and Call of Duty are at least games worth buying on Wii, unlike Madden, NBA Jam, or pretty much anything else EA's put there of late (except Tiger Woods. They've done good with that)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Um, make a good version for the Wii, just as there are good versions for the HD systems. Duh.

How could you seriously think there were only two options?
