thats because its been available for under $299 for over 3 years and 3 months now i cant tell you how long the ps3 has been under $299 but i will soon, even if you look at the sales deals on BF week i dont believe you could get a PS3 for under $299
the last NPD november the 360 was available for a price of $299 or greater it did 500k so nothings wrong with PS3s numbers
dont think these numbers can warrant "ps3s is doomed posts" with the above price data i mentioned vgc didnt have it that far off to begin with anyway, the real story here is the success of treyarchs COD BO and how much it was undertracked 8.4 to like 6.7?

Black Ops is a success, but judging by all the figures MS released, (and Nintendo) they're both BIG successes this November as well.
Were you not saying PS3 was gonna be adjusted after NPD? You got your wish it seems.

i get your post but some of these comments in here are a little over exaggerated to me, i mean i can come up with a whole bunch of achievements and stats on a global level for my preferred console in fact i have one in my sig
its posting its best holiday figures this year b/c out of the last 3 yrs at 199 and 299 this year MS offered more console for the money combined this with kenict launch and mega american desired SW releases like cod and AC ect.. Its a no brainier for the american audience on which console to choose when desiring those types of SW. While sony has been pretty competitive on WW level at price no lower that 299, it actually has been offering less console for the money recently with the exception of the HHD sizes
it also doesnt really matter if its been 199 for 3 yrs or even 5yrs when your at the low price level and one uping the competition that is $100 more by adding desired features to the HW, acquiring time exclusive DLC for mega franchises, and releasing a motion devise with mega budget advertising to compete with its competitors, the 360 could have been priced higher than it already is as long as it achieved the above mentioned i believe the same results would reoccur. For an example the wii, it was achieving below average sales just a while ago and with no price cut boom pretty close to where it was, it didnt need a price cut it recently did things i mentioned with the 360
the ps3 hasnt done those things this holiday season and thats why its in last for Nov Npd but like i mentioned in my other thread sony is just waiting for the comp. to be at its weakest to come out from cover and with recent announcements i believe that time will be around this time next year
