PS3 is turning a corner.... they were getting killed by 360, they have been neck and neck for a while now....

Well PS3 software is actually doing pretty well in Europe and the rest. And America its 360 and in Japan its Wii.

By the way, is Patapon from the creators of Loco Roco?

The Xbox 360 and PS3 are also in different markets (US vs Europe, rite guys?).  One plays HD movies and the other doesn't.  So -- different markets.

I hope you're being sarcastic, because the Wii, 360 and PS3 have very much overlap in their markets.  And there are a ton of people who are buying just one this generation -- so far, I only own the Wii but I will end up going PSWii most likely.

I think the problem is that they are tied now, and next year is the second full year of the PS3 and all the big releases are coming just as 2007 saw the xbox 360 powder ignited (halo, Bioshock, ME...)

I seriously wonder if so much hate against Sony came from the inner knowledge that the Xbox never took enough difference to seriously discard a competitively priced PS3.

Another interesting point that tends to be disregarded is price. In Spain you can get a new 360 premium+Gears of War for 300 EUR, whereas the PS3 with a game is around 430 EUR.

Still, as some here take as proof of our lack of knowledge in VG, PS3 sells much better.  At the end of this generation we will see which countries are not getting it yet. 

MS hasn't officially lowered its machine much, but in fact it is quite undercut from the 400/no game combo I got at launch day. It's about the same price of a Wii+game.

It's CRIMINAL that the 360 isn't beating the ps3 this year..it really is

ioi really shouldnt bother adjusting numbers to the NPD. That just shows that we still need the NPD for our numbers and cant do accurate tracking ourselves. He undertracked the PS3 by 60k it seems.. who cares..

Halomania...the 360 should be handing PS3 its a$$ right now. How many triple A titles have they released this year?  And according to everyone else on this site the PS3 has only had flop after flop. 

Ah, the good old battle for 2nd place. It will not be remembered, when both systems are in the shadow of the unstoppable Wii. I'm expecting this generation to be just like the last one, except with Nintendo and Sony switching places.

 What different market.  Ther eis one market and its called the gaming market which includes all consoles, PC's, and handhelds.  These imaginary lines are silly.
