Forums - Microsoft - Halo Reach MLG playlist is up!!!!!

And its amazing!  Here are the generals

DMR/Needler Rifle start with sprint as the only armor ability.

You can't use your sprint armor ability until a couple seconds after you spawn (i'm guessing to keep you from running to the weapons right away)

You can pick up the Jetpack ability on certain maps.

It takes 3 beatdowns to kill someone (no more herpe a derping FTW!)

It seems like the only weapons that are on the maps are DMR, Needle Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Rockets, Plasma Pistol, and a few others I probably forgot.

I'm loving it so far...especially how there aren't as many cheap deaths.

And I also met the first General I have seen in Halo Reach (two of them actually) and yes they were utterly ridiculous.

Now go play in the best playlist on Halo Reach!!!

Sounds pretty awesome. I've always thought they should throw some armor abilities out on the maps so you can switch to gain advantages just like in the campaign.

On a slightly unrelated note, how's the new map pack? I just got my 1600 free points today and was planning on buying the map pack tomorrow after I finish my exams and just playing until I fall into a coma. I'm just looking for someone to tell me how excited I should be for these new maps.

The delay is for CTF and objective game types in general. If you have sprint from the beginning its way too easy to return the flag.

There are two abilities you can pick up one is the jet pack and the other is the barrel role which is awesome.

I love the fact that it is now a 3 beatdown kill, like you said no more herp a derping.

The weapons you missed are the grenade launcher and I also believe the pistol is on the maps too.

It is an awesome playlist with no cheapness which makes it even better. I only got a chance to play 3 games on it but it was utter domination for the most part (my gf called during the second game which messed me up a little).

I really like them, each map brings something unique. Anchor 9 is awesome for short to medium gameplay. Tempest harkins back to Valhalla style play but the map is much smaller and Breakpoint is an amazing big team battle and invasion map.

I've really enjoyed the maps so far, especially since they had a dlc hopper from day one so I could actually play on them from the get go. IGN has a pretty good review of the map pack up too if you want another opinion.

after playing Black Ops for so long then going back to Reach, I found it incredibly frustrating, the bloom never bothered me before but now I find it incredibly random, the players in the MLG playlist could always fire as quick as possible with no penalty but If I tried the same thing back my shots would go all over the place, who knows maybe I've turned garbage?   >.<

You have to know when to shoot in rythm, when to allow for full reset and when you can shoot at an accelerated pace.

Spamming the trigger will only frustrate you and lead no where. If your going to shoot at an accelerated pace always aim for the center of mass so as to encompass most of your bloom in their body then allow for a decent reset before taking the final head shot.

I've played long enough to know exactly how to control the bloom in any given situation and even then I make mistakes because its so hard to aim and time while you're under fire. If you feel like your getting out shot try to use cover to peak shot your opponents, allowing your bloom to reset every time you slide behind cover. It is human nature to panic as you see your health diminish and try to shoot faster, keep your cool and if you feel like your going to lose the DMR fight always have an escape path open to you.

This is not MW where you can just aim in their general direction pull the trigger and get a kill. I can't tell you how many times I've been shot from behind, turned around at landed 5 perfect shots while the kid spams and squanders his advantage over me.

No shield = more win!

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I'm frustrated with this game right now. This game has probably the worst online community I've ever seen. It's nothing but freaking quitters every time a team starts losing. I feel like it's an accomplishment if a game ends without somebody quitting. It's really annoying and is ruining the game.

This picture alone sums up how awesome the new map pack is :)

Maybe now yo_john won't complain about how he only got 3 kills because of ghost and armor lock noobs...
