im proud your still such a GBA player!

i was thinking of buying a Gameboy Micro the other day, one was only £11 on ebay :D

Thanks...I like my classics. My father use to own  systems like colecovision, intellivision and else. So i like old school games as much as more modern title. I always try to expand my small collection. Gamestop does'nt make alot of money with me I barely exchange my game.lol

aha yeh same in the way once i have a game i like to keep to so looks like a little collection lol

thats pretty cool! does he still have them now?

Unfortunately no, He gave it away to someone before I was old enough to convince him to keep it for me...snif snif. I think he got maybe 40 games for intellivision 2 alone..so sad. I miss Burger Time. I won't do the same, I'll keep all my games !!!!

thats annoying! im 100% about to ebay them ahaha they will probs cost a bomb

*Edited* This was a very weak year for gaming in my opinion based on games I actually bought for my collection.

Buys

-------

GOW3

Castelvania: LOS

Assassins Creed 2: Brotherhood

GT5

Mass Effect 2 (Returned because xbox broke. Repurchased for the PS3)

COD: Black Ops

Older games purchased this year

--------------------------------------------

Bayonetta

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Killzone 2

Assassins Creed 1

Assassins Creed 2

Rents:

--------

Enslaved

Vanquish

Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions

Didn't buy any games on the Xbox 360 (this year aside from Mass Effect 2 which was returned) and right now couldn't care less to buy another Xbox now that ME2 is on another console.

  • Pokemon Soul Silver
  • Pokemon Emerald (bought for $3, sold for $25)
  • Super Mario Galaxy 2
  • Metroid: Trilogy
  • 3D Dot Game Heroes
  • Assassin's Creed II
  • Muramasa: The Demon Blade
  • Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
  • Metroid: Other M

I actually spent about the same amount money on boardgames this year as videogames, which is kind of shocking. However, most of those games I listed I got for $20-30

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit
11/03/09 Desposit: Mod Bribery (RolStoppable)  vg$ 500.00
06/03/09 Purchase: Moderator Privilege  vg$ -50,000.00

I bought a good number, and won a few in giveaways. I bought

  • Moto Grand Prix - $35
  • Carcassonne (Big Box) - $50
  • Carson City - $40
  • Saboteur - $10
  • Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries - $35
  • Wits & Wagers - $20
  • Zooloretto - $30
  • Robo Rally - $35 (though this was a gift for my Sister-in-law's birthday)
  • Killer Bunnies Orange Booster - $8
  • Giro Galoppo - $30

I also won for free

  • Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot
  • Railways of the World
  • Hellas
  • Power Grid
    • Power Grid: The New Power Plant Deck
    • Power Grid: China / Korea
    • Power Grid: Brazil / Spain and Portugal

So I guess I actually spent a little more on boardgames than videogames. It is also why I don't have Kirby or DK yet

For those who don't know about these games, you can search them on boardgamegeek.com

I've played card games, chess, backgammon and other classical games for years and used to be into your typical super market type games long before then.

It wasn't until an in-law introduced me to Ticket to Ride a few years ago that I started browsing the local boardgame store in the local mall. I avoided it at first becuase they seemed to be mostly focused on comics and Magic the Gathering which I had no interest in. Since then I've been amassing a small collection of designer games and I'm done purchasing boardgames games for a while.

I'm gonna go by month.

January: Nothing

February: MAG, Star Ocean: TLH(PS3), Heavy Rain

March: Final Fantasy XIII(PS3)

April: God of War 3

May: Something, I just don't remember.

June: Red Dead Redemption(PS3)

July: Demon's Souls, Dead Space(PS3)

August: Dissidia Final Fantasy

September: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

October/November: Medal of Honor(PS3), Sly Collection, Naruto Shippuden 2(PS3), Call of Duty Black Ops(PS3), MLB: 10 The Show...The Reason why I put Oct and Nov together is because I got all these games in the week ending October and entering November.

December: Planning on buying GT5 and Assasins Creed: Brotherhood

My 2011 wishlist: Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Dead Space 2(PS3), Mass Effect 2, Little Big Planet 2, SoTC/ICO Collection, Killzone 3, InFamous 2, The 3rd Birthday, Dissidia Duodecim.  If released in 2011: Final Fantasy Versus XIII, The Last Guardian.
