Nintendo related rumours tend to 99% of time be fake

Truth...

But, if that 1% is truth I will buy it day 1...

Smash Bros is my favorite Nintendo game ever.  If it were to grace the 3ds then the 3ds would grace my items to buy list.  I don't see that happening just like a good console pokemon game is never happening.  But I would love it if they did.

This is great praise as I haven't been interested in Nintendo software for ages it seems.

I sure as hell want a new instalment. I want Sakurai back on it as well, either with Project Sora or without.

I want a new installment too, but I'd rather see someone else than Sakurai work on it.

After all, he insulted competitive gamers, and any kind of balance that was in Melee, he made sure wan't present in Brawl.

I find Brawl more balanced for the average player, and I find I can use a wider range of characters without having to learn them. Removing the Melee 'tricks' (exploits) was good too. Competitive gamers are too small a market for Nintendo to cater to.

Agree. I loved what Sakurai did precisely because it pissed all over the competitive gamers. He should have spited them more by eliminating the ability to turn off certain items or stages: force 'em to play the way the game is meant to be played

Also why i really resented the Brawl Plus mod when that emerged. Usually i prefer when games allow you to play the way you want and not force you into a box, but that just shows you how much i hate the competitive Smash Bros scene

YES, I HATE competitive Smash Bros players, especially when they're doing that IN A NON-COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT! I have friends who do nothing but play Final Destination with all items off. It's so BORING to do that again and again and again. It's not any FUN

Well I play competitively when there is a challenge. Those friends of yours seem pretty boring with this game... Even competitively I don't choose final destination unless someone asks (But i prefer battle field over it any day).

Yes, they are rather boring with it. If you're playing in a tournament it's one thing, but when you're in a casual environment you should let loose and goof around otherwise it's a slap in the face to the developers. It's why I hate the whole concept of "tiers"

Ah tiers... those incomplete lists that are useless and are barely correct IMO... Ike being Low tier at first was insulting and I knew he wasn't as bad as some people would think =_=

More 3rd party characters plz.  I want Mega Man, Jill Valentine, Simon Belmont and Torneko Taloon! <3

Meaning you just want Nintendo vs Capcom vs Konami, right? :P

Which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but it doesn't seem like something Nintendo would consent to ever.

No, that's not all what I'd want.  Besides, Sakurai/Kojima already opened this door. :P

I'd expect Snake and Sonic to return, but I'd like to see more 3rd party entries... even if just for significant (to Nintendo) series, like Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter and Professor Layton?  Slime, Raithalos and the Professor himself would make a nice addition actually.

I want Megaman and Simon Belmont.  While both are 3rd party, they almost have an association with Nintendo and therefore IMO would be perfect fits for Smash Bros.  Prof Layton is a must as well.

On the subject of Monster Hunter, I still find it strange why Capcom didn't put in anything from the series to Tatsunoko vs Capcom considering its popularity.

Oh and Psycho Mantis should have been an assist trophy in Brawl, he appears and just not only provides distractions, but breaks the 4th wall.  He would be as hated as the Nintendog.

I'd rather have SSB on a console, I doubt i'd be able to gather 3 people with 3DSs (probably nobody i know will even have bought one yet) as easily as just 3 random people, that's even IF the game only requires one copy of the game to play local multiplayer, if it required seperate copies then forget about it

So it'd be nice if true but I probably wouldn't buy it, at least not right away (i'd have to make my friends had 3DSs first and were getting the game)

Wouldn't all of you Smash Bros. bitches prefer a new SSB ready for Wii 2 launch?

Like people already said above, it is a genre of game that fits better the home console due to its local multiplayer bliss.

Plus, a 3DS iteration wouldn't be that much different from the Wii version, think about it...

I do not really disagree with you, but think about the possibility's with tag mode. Travelling by train playing against random people. While the real magic for SSB is playing together on 1 screen, it still would be fun on a handheld. SSB is coming to the next Nintendo console anyway.
