Forums - Gaming - Shortly to be a 3 console owner

Little offtopic but I still wonder that why LO sold so badly in Japan. Yes it was on X360 but even on X360 there are RPGs that sold double the amount (SO4, Blue Dragon, TOV). LO is like copy of old FF games with this gen graphics. Weird. Then to topic itself. Congrats. Like many here have said LO is really great X360 exclusive. Then there is also Fable series with its own unique athmosphere (Fable III was pretty big disappointment though...) and if you like shooters Gears 1 and 2 are great. Gears 2 has even pretty good single player campaign. Alan Wake is also great game although it seems that it really divides opinions. Lot of people love it and lot of people hate it. I also plan to be 3 console owner in future. If only Nintendo would give release dates for Xenoblade and Last Story....

XBLA exclusives
- available and highly recommendable: Rez HD
- available and recommendable: RISK: Factions
- looks extremely promising and can already be played and purchased prior to launch via "secret" code: ilomilo
- future beauty to keep an eye on: click right picture in my signature

Xbox "original" download for reasonable people who like Tim Schafer games: Psychonauts

Thanks. Those look good.  Just finished Psychonaunts on PC from Steam - damn good game.

Also, thanks for all the suggestions.  I've got a nice little list to check out now, both retail and XBLA.  So I should be pretty busy once we fire up the console.

Update on ilomilo, which I called promising yesterday:
Meanwhile I've downloaded the demo and payed the 800 MS points (10 €/US$) to get the full game. I only played ~10 levels so far but it's already my most favourite (exclusive) XBLA game. Every aspect of ilomilo is extremely lovingly designed (there's even a cute achievement based on the main menu music), the puzzles are clever, fun and challenging. Wonderful game.

This is what I like about your posts. You always manage to find niche, yet unique games (usually with a retro feel), regardless of platform.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

If you didn't have a kid I would say owning all those systems was a waste of time. I cannot even play all the games the come out for PS3 and 360. So I just did the opposite and lost the Wii, it was cool to be a part of the triforce, but seriously I need many more hobbies in life than gaming.

Oh and I don't think you'll find many more exclusives than you mentioned that are not on PC. It's basically the Halo Gears, Wake machine. Banjoo kazooie nutz and bolts, but that was horrible.

gratz, but as a three console owner myself i can tell you it's overrated.  in theory it great to have access to all games but in reality it leads to a lot of console neglect - there are just too many good games to get to them all.

but anyways, gratz on your purchase.  as far as kinect goes, i can't give any real feedback as i don't have one but the one other game i've heard buzz for is your shape fitness evolved.  a coworker of mine has it and she likes it a lot.  i'm not sure you want a fitness game but i've played wii fit and EA active on my wii and i have to say - being able to exercise without holding a controller is would have improved both of those games.  i have to imagine fitness games is one place where kinect can really shine against the compitition.

I have to agree, owning all 3 consoles myself, my PS3 is just neglected alot, it's just a blu-ray player for me now really. : ( And off course the very rare console exclusive i buy for it. (Ratchet & Clank! :) )

So welcome to the... KKK...

Games i suggest you pick up: Halo 3, Halo: Reach. Gears of War 1, & 2. Limbo.

And.... i can't really tell you what else seeing how i don't know your library of PS3 games...

Have fun with your new console!

Oh that sounds good.  Some of my favourite games on PS3 are the gems from PSN, and I was hoping XBLA would be home to some, too.  I'll have to check this (plus Limbo at others) out.

Also, to all - I get it, I should check out Lost Odyssey!

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
