Definitely good sales for the PS3.

It should be mentioned though that at least 150,000 of those PS3 were given away as part of a "bundle" with Sony Bravia TV's as of May 2010. Not trying to dampen the news, but console giveaways don't usually/ever account for such a large percent of overall sales, and it does help put the number in context when comparing it to the 360 and Wii.

"Sony Computer Entertainment Australia head Michael Ephraim revealed the updated sales figures to GameSpot at an Australian launch event for the PSN video delivery service, also confirming that 150,000 of the PS3 sales came from consoles given away with Sony Bravia TV deals."

That said, props to Sony Australia, 2 more weeks of busy shopping to go and they already achieved their 2010 goal.

"Ephraim said that the company aims to sell one million PS3s in Australia by the end of 2010, a feat achieved by Xbox 360 last month and by Wii in January 2009 - Nintendo’s system stood at 1.7 million units sold in January 2010."

Yep bundles with must expensive LCD HDTV around.

Good work to all the Aussies just hope that they can also do good in the circket. Games are pretty popular as lots of my friends all play some games mostly cod though i think that they could use a break.

Though form the Article above the Go has probably sold less in Aus percentage wise then others because of internet but it is now getting much better
