1- Copy-Protected Save Files (can't backup your saves)

2- No support for external NTFS HDDs (can't transfer files bigger than 4gb)

3- No support for .mkv files

Wii:

VC is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Friend codes

third party shovelware

inability to save gc files to internal memory

lack of a quality baseball game

lack of a quality (US)football game other than Madden 08(screw you EA!)

Did I mention VC?

All of the following are launch models

Wii

- Underwhelming use of motion controls in core titles.

- Nintendo's horrific localisation record.

PS3

- Lack of localised Tales games.

360

- Focus shifting to Kinect and the lack of core exclusives.

DS

- Screens are to small for me and no decent magnifier.... what can I say I'm getting old.

PSP

- Not much to complain about but nothing to say wow about either.

360

First party is seriously lacking

Letting exclusives go to PS3

Not enough variety in exclusives

XBLA game prices are getting pricey

Dpad

These complaints are only about the consoles available at launch

PS3 & X360

1. Console Reliability is not as good as previous generations

2. Games are released with a lot more bugs.  I now expect at least one update for each AAA game I purchase.

3. Additonal hard drive purchase almost required to keep console useful - due to all the updates and DLC for games

DS

1. No major complaints.  Lots of good games and good battery life.

PSP

1. Digital offerings are not inline with open market.  I could buy Dante's Inferno new at Fry's for $20 over a month before I could get the digital release (on sale) for $19.99.  They could have crazy game sales like Steam, but they don't.

Wii  shovelware, my god the stupid shovelware

limited hardware capabilities

Copy protected files (u too PS3) really WTF is the point of this????

WiiWare the games are crappy

actually anything having to do with online on Wii. VC, friend codes etc.  Wii and online dont go together at all.

dont really like how Ninty catered to this new audience, I understand why but just dont like it

seriously lacking in some genres

PS3

put back in backward compatability, hell make a PS3 with it and charge people an extra 50 for it im sure it'll sell

needs to be faster on updates

PSN is in a better place but can still be improved

DS

too much shovelware like Wii

not alot of games to my liking

my damn L button stopped working

I dont get the console feeling that I get with my PSP.

PSP

needs more games

WTF do devs release a port of the game after the console, (Tekken 6, Split/Second, Soul Calibur) why even release them at all???

negative press it gets

Sony of America totally dropping the ball on PSP in general, WTF are we only now getting the PSP camera??? and still no GPS???

i was thinking the same thing, even  so i have nothng to complain about as far as the consoles conserned! my problem is being out of work so my back catalog is just sad to look at.

the browser could be better

PS3:

Sometimes, it performs badly in SD mode

No native .mkv support

Trophies aren't present in ALL games...

that'd be about it, I think... I don't have much gripes with it and BC is not something I really need with 2 operational PS2's...

Whee, this topic again!

Xbox 360

  • D-Pad sucks, even the improved one is only barely alright.
  • Netflix Interface
  • Kinect needs more voice control functionality

PS3

  • Synching trophies is one of the dumbest things this gen.
  • XMB
  • Left analog stick placement on the controller
  • Trophies
  • I still forget how to look at friends trophies, they're just in a stupid spot
  • PSN interface is awful, every time I've downloaded something I end up downloading it 10 times
  • Can't use my Universal Remote without buying some buggy expensive 3rd party device
  • DS3 and SIXAXIS battery life sucks
  • Bottom triggers are horrible

Wii

  • No achievements type system
  • Friend codes
  • Online is pathetic at best

@seece i agree with everything you said except the 360 "letting go of exclusives". what was MS to do??? They were already throwing money at 3rd parties like there was no tommorow. They cant be held responsible for that, I dont think they have an endless fund of money to be doing that anyway. Most 3rd parties want multiplat games cause they get more money.

@Marcusdjackson  I think the PS3 overall is the best of the 3 thats why my list was so small. Most of the major problems they had (3rd party games sucking on it, PSN sucking) for the most part have been dealt with. Thats why I mess with the PS brand they actually try to fix some of their screw ups unlike some others who I wont state. Uh what the hell. WiiWare sucked b4 and its sucks now and it looks like it will keep sucking

@twestern  i dont mean to be snide but when it comes to PSN. I think its you, how could you download something ten times??? As soon as its done downloading it says complete, dont see how you can miss that. You cant find your friends' trophies??? There the first thing you see when you click on their profiles(#s anyway) theres a big trophy icon at the bottom of the screen that says compare trophies, cant see the confusion. Yeah synching does blow, I recommend just simply not having your PS3 hooked up to the Network at all times. IMHO i think the PSN interface is simpler than the 360. I find there is too much crap on screen for the 360 but it does look better i'll give it that. THe only thing that I really hate about the PSN is that not all the download information is available for everything. THey tell you all the file sizes for videos and PSP stuff but the PS3 crap is all after the fact. Thats crap Sony
